She is getting a bit fed up of constant DTC's on the Pugs (not as much as I am, i'm the daft bugger that's got to keep fixing them) so she reckons its time for a change and got this little white fella ( not being racist now! ) and is totally smitten by it, absolutely lovely condition, drives wonderful and no Anti-pollution warnings!.

Just as a matter of interest to those who may be considering a 207cc, she has had 2 now and both of them were absolute nightmares, both had the pre 08 Prince engine with the dodgy timing chain setup and had fault after fault,1 had a broken timing chain tensioner just rattling about in the head!, constant DTC's for LOTS of different sensors etc, just a nasty nasty engine, check out the amount of peeps with the Mini Cooper engine probs, its the same engine, if you go for a 207 make sure its the HDi or post 2008 model

Oh ya beauty!
As it happens I just got my second one at the weekend.
Neither currently look as good as that one, but they will!
If it's not already been done, get a couple of 1ft lengths of seatbelt webbing, and stick them on the inside of the roof near the top rear corner of the windows - you'll soon see where it needs reinforcing.
And get some Hi-Spec brakes on the front at the earliest opportunity, and then an ESM Everest chip.

By the way, if you ever respray it pink, as Simon Mayo would say: I'll visit you in the wee small hours and put a bat up your nightdress!

Neil, Ive already done that mod along with new elastic for the roof bars, its got drilled and grooved discs with greenstuff pads which actually make a difference, I remember when I got my first Elan years ago being shocked how poor the brakes were!.
Its a lovely wee one this though with only 60k last owner had it since '93.

I've just finished doing the A pillar seals with the best fitting rubber seals you have ever seen, wait till you see these! they look like they were manufactured for the Elan, the fit is incredible, I have done all the roof seals with rubber seals but the A pillar ones are remarkable, Pics on LEC to follow....

That's a decent mod on the brakes. Apparently EBC Greenstuffs used to take a bit of heating up so could scare people when they were cold, but hopefully they've addressed that issue a bit. The biggest problem you're liable to encounter is sticky-sliders in the old Vauxhall calipers, which rob the brakes of efficiency. But if they're kept exercised, and treated to a lube at each service they should be perfectly adequate.

By the way, don't know if you're aware but the A-panel repeaters are exactly the same fit as ones from Rover 25's/MG ZR's, but theirs are clear so look a lot more modern. Plenty available in scrapyards for very little...

Yep the sliders have been out Neil, all rubbed down and copper greased to the max!.
I was well chuffed to find it had galvanised back arms as well.
I had a look at those side repeaters at the weekend when I was getting bits but im not convinced on them, I quite like the orange ones.
I changed the headlamps for Jag ones (which will never rust being plastic backed) and also put some Honda weather seals on the doors, posted them on LEC but no one seems interested there, its changed days from when I joined!.
Aye the red striped seats are in it but she is already talking about S2K seats like I put in my Pacific blue, I might do that but you can rest assured it wont be going Pink!.

Ah, so you're Dromong!
You're right - it has changed a bit, for a few reasons.
I've been out of it for a while due to a combination of mine being off the road, a son to bring up and lots of other car projects that took priority over the last 4 years. But now I have the "new old" one I have the motivation to get right back into it and get them both sorted out.
That should lead to an increase in social activities, which had a positive effect on the site previously, and I'm sure will do again.
Things like the Jag lights and the S2K seats are well worth sharing - please don't be put off from doing. I think both look great.

But as for pink, I'm simply not going there!
