Rear window height adjustment

Post by Jamesk07 »

Hey all,

Just a quick question... Both my rear windows leak and it's easy to see where from and why. The seal that is supposed to form between the top of the window and the roof rubber does not seal, as both windows when fully up don't quite reach the seal. Question is, is it possible to adjust the height of the window when fully up to alleviate this problem? If so, how would I go about it?

When I got the car the drivers side rear window didn't work properly, getting stuck on the way back up. Lubricating and cleaning didn't work so I bought a used mechanism and fitted it, job done. So, I know how to get the windows and mechanisms in and out, I just don't recall there being any obvious height adjustment.

Many thanks,

James

From memory there are 3 bolts holding the assemby in place. The bolt holes are slotted so you can more them around to correctly position glass. Not sure about a specific up & down adjustment though.
Cheers Col.

Hi Col,

Thank you for the advice, I will hopefully have the car apart this coming weekend to see for adjustment. I'll report back!

Many thanks,

James
