Stone Chips

Well it's that time of year again, it seems the contents of Coventry City Council's gritting vans have been flung up the front of my CC by other motorists :sad:

Has anyone had any experience with Chips Away or similar companies and if so, how much do they tend to charge (and on what basis - i.e. is it per chip).

I'm tempted to wait until later in the winter and have all my stone chips ('cos knowing my luck I'll get a few more) done at the same time - can anyone recommend a treatment to stop the corrosion in the exposed areas in the meantime?

They normally charge on a panel basis.

Per panel around Â£40 - Â£50..

Panels are galvanised so should not rust.. But I get a touch up stick of clear laquer, and dab a little on the area until spring time arrives & the bonnet will get re-sprayed.. :sad:
