Rear bumper plastic moulding.

Post by wales1975 »

Does anyone know if you can remove the black plastic moulding without taking off the bumper?

My moulding needs attention, I noticed the top surface has flaked off in areas, it may well have been sprayed black in the past, but it looks awful now. I have seen a replacement on Fleabay for £20 used, or i may well try taking it off and wet sanding it and spraying it with a vinyl spray paint.

Yes. Just take the 3 or 4 screws out of the top and unclip it.
Cheers Col.

Jobs a good un. I have taken moulding off, given it a spray with plastic primer and plastic black paint and in all fairness it looks great. Thanks again.
