clarion cd player
Hi all my girlfriends clarion cd player has just stopped ejecting the cd. the car is a 03 and the manual states that the stereo is coded to the car and will not work in any other car. can anyone tell me how i can get a standard radio to work in her car please. i do not wish to upgrade, just keep the standard one. hopefully i have explained myself properly but im a bit stressed with her on the earhole! thanks in advance.

Re: clarion cd player
replacement will need to be coded to your cars BSI system to work. either diy using PlanetPeugeot 2000 or peugeot/citroen dealer/specialist.

Re: clarion cd player
It's a diagnostic program, but it will need a laptop, downloading (from peugeotforums links), key generated and not so cheap Lexia-3 cables (which have to be imported from HK/China to get them at a reasonable price or play the fleabay auctions ...)
Depending where you are it may be cheaper to ask someone already using PP2000 to code it for you ... a list of possible pug owners is in posts on http://www.peugeotforums.com/forums/ and I think http://www.206info.co.uk/Forums.html

MadMike: It would be worth adding your location to your profile in case someone on here who already has PP2000 is near enough to be able to lend a hand.

Re: clarion cd player
I removed the Clarion cd player in my car as cd would not eject.
Fitted a new radio/cd player and works fine....not coded to BSI.
Didn't bother with stalk controls though....
Halfords do a fitting service....so might be worth a try ?

A non-Peugeot radio will work. But the BSI may still think the original is fitted so be prepared for some unannounced bleeps!
Halfords are vastly overpriced .. the adaptor should be easy to plug between radio and cables ... you just need to get the right one.

Re: clarion cd player
Had no bleeps four months on !!!
Halfords charge approx. £6 for fitting. Will also advise about plug etc.
Don't think above will break the bank !!!!
Just a thought.....can always try elsewhere.
