I've recently bought a 2005 206 CC 1.6 Tiptronic & I've had some issues with the rear axle.
My mechanic told me that it must be changed, I'm from Egypt & I would like to know if the hatchback or the sw model rear axle fits into my car or the 206 cc has its own rear axle which only fits into it?????

Re: Peugeot 206 CC Rear Axle
The hatchback with rear discs & CC's are the same. The SW is different.
The ABS changed in 2002, so if you want to change the whole assembly, get a post 2002 axle. If you don't mind swapping the stub axle / brake assemblies over then it doesn't matter which year or brake configuration you get. Just don't get an SW one.
Whereabouts in Egypt are you out of interest?

Try ebay.co.uk
I would have thought some people on there would send stuff to you
( maybe not at *ASDA price* though
)
Probably worth messaging the advertisers to see if they will post to you. Not sure what postage would cost.

Re: Peugeot 206 CC Rear Axle
I've considered buying it from ebay but the shipping fees will be a fortune as the rear axle's weight is very big

Re: Peugeot 206 CC Rear Axle
Why do you need a complete axle?
They usually fail due to rust (not likely where you live) or the bearings in the end of the axle tube fail, and these can be replaced.
available on ebay

Re: Peugeot 206 CC Rear Axle
The man I bought it from had an accident in the rear left side where the rim was damaged and the mechanic told me to get a brand new rear axle.

Re: Peugeot 206 CC Rear Axle
I bought a rear axle but the only one I found was a 2001 rear axle with the old abs version, so any suggestions to swap my abs configuration. I was thinking of swapping the bearings with magnetic ones and using my magnetic abs sensors. Can this idea be done???? Please help as fast as possible as I only have one day to whether return the rear axle or not???
