Oil for 2006 206cc 1.6hdi

Happy new year everyone. Question for Cap/GM or anyone else in the know. Do diesel 206cc's use different oil to the petrol versions? What oil I should use. Is 5w-40 correct? Thank you in advance. YL

5W40 Fully Synthetic but double check it is suitable for diesel engines as this has a slightly different code/standard to include additives for diesel fuels.

Opieoils is delivering for £1 until Sunday.

I had my 1.6HDi serviced a couple of weeks ago, I asked the garage what they used so I can top up with the same, they used a Low Ash Fully Synth 5W30.

Hello all!
A bit random but I'm a new driver and I'm wondering what oil I should buy for the 2003 206cc 1.6 auto? Assuming 5w40, but wanted to get it right!
