Hi....new owner of a 206cc
I bought a 206cc in August 2013 and have had a few 'teething problems'. Thought joining a forum might be useful as every time I searched for info this site came up!

Welcome. Which model did you get? Tell us a bit about the car.

Re: Hi....new owner of a 206cc
Hi
I bought a 2002 206cc 1.6l in moonstone. Red and black leather interior. The first problem I had was the air con is broken and the dealer is getting that fixed. The garage is still trying to find a crimping tool to fit the new air con. It had a broken cigarette lighter - fixed with a part from Latvia! It also had a problem with the radio - wired in incorrectly! Now sorted. Back 3rd brake light - pending repair. Roof micro switch replaced in the boot - we had to use an old bit of fish finger box until the part arrived! Then last week replaced the old battery and I now discover the alternator is broken - repair on that tomorrow.....sigh. Hoping all will be ok soon

Alternator replaced. Air con pending as per my other post. And now the roof won't go down. Am beginning to regret my ourchase even though I love my car.

If you need a diagnostic doing on the roof and can get to Nottingham, then I should be able to at least verify what the fault is, and so save you some money in fixing it without having to resort to main dealer prices. PM me if interested.InkyAl wrote:Alternator replaced. Air con pending as per my other post. And now the roof won't go down. Am beginning to regret my ourchase even though I love my car.

Re: Hi....new owner of a 206cc
Am slowly going downhill mentally over this car......Independent Peugeot specialist?????????????
He had no clue about the third brake light query - 3 bulbs are out and he didn't even know if it was LED or Bulbs - which is why I asked him about it, he also didn't know how to access the unit........
He gave me price on air con repair - which he wouldn't guarantee "as the fault could be somewhere else once I have repaired it love" but still wanted £500 and more. Amazingly he hadn't even seen the car it was parked down the road as the garage is very small.
And lastly - he doesn't touch roof repairs. But I told him on the phone the roof was one of the problems.
I would worry that he treated me like a fool because I was female but I work in a very male environment and never have a problem there! Not impressed at all and my car is still broken.
