Morning,
I have a 2005 1.4 Petrol 206 Sport and I've just come across the dreaded "Antipollution Fault" and "Catalytic Converter Fault".
I bought the car a couple of months ago and it's been trouble free. I booked the car in for a service and MOT at a Peugeot Garage on Monday and last night it started showing the faults whilst driving.
The service included an oil change, oil filter change, air filter change and new spark plugs.
Could this new work be the cause of the problems?

Re: Antipollution and Catalytic Converter Fault
Shouldn't be if the work was done by a Peugeot garage.
Are you using it for a lot of short runs? If yes, try taking it for a longer run, out of town at decent speed. Might burn off any unburnt hydrocarbons from the lambda sensor.
Are you using cheap supermarket petrol? If yes, try a couple of tankfuls of Shell V-Power Nitro, or BP Ultimate.
Is it on the original battery? An 8 year old battery reaching the end of its life can cause spurious warning messages.
Is the car still running well, despite the messages?

Many don't last that long ... even with lifetime guarantees or 5 years ... but then you can often get a replacement (unless the "lifetime" is for the original purchaser ... then not worth the paper it is written on ... like Vauxhall's gimmick!)GrandadMonkey wrote:Is it on the original battery?
