Please help!:) manually closing roof(with pics)

Post by alfashock »

Hello everyone
I have a problem in the roof because of a leak from the pump
I turned the roof Manual closing but the boot lockers not tortured closed
And now every time I go over 5 km has the car beeps continuously
If I open the lid of the trunk and closes the lock by hand it closed and the car does not beeping (like in the pic)
before

after

But when I close the boot lid the lockers are not locked only by two small bones closing manually and trunk drop remained "open" and the sensor (i guess) don't recognize that the boot is closed.
like here, i cant close the lockers till the end :\

Peugeot garage says I can not close it and can only replace the whole system of the roof an insane amount of 520GBP

sorry for my bad English
I hope someone will understand and can tell me where is the sensors that stop the beeping all the time

thanks for the answers!

Welcome to the forum.
The best thing would be to bet a secondhand pump from ebay and fix the problem.
To stop the beeping you would have to strap the 2 micro switches in the location of your photo number 4, as the computer thinks the boot isn't closed properly. If you strap or tape the switches closed, the computer will think everything is OK, but even that may not stop the beeping but is worth a try.
Let us know how you get on
Cheers Col.

Thanks for answer

Thats the problem..i try to close the strap switches by hand but it doesn't move
Only when the trunk lid is open like in pic 2. When i close it like in pic 3 they open automaticlly and doesn't lock back
Do i need to pull something to close them up?

And the leaking coming under the trunk shelf and not from the pumps on the side..wired:/
Anyway i just want to close the lockers for now i cant here the beeping anymore :)
