Hi, i bought my 206cc about 5 weeks ago, 52 plate 2.0 SE. It has 37k on the clock, and as of yet the only major issue im having with it is that it reads the fuel level incorrectly.
I can put a full tank of fuel in it, and drive it, but when i come to it the next day, its reading anything other than full, and when i get in it the day after that, it says it has half a tank, or a quarter and so on, It goes up and down each time i get in it, quite often it brings on the low fuel warning even when it has half a tank in it. Im only 19 and im not great with mechanics myself, but my dads a mechanic/MOT tester and hes looked around for fuel leaks and such but we've found nothing of the sort.
Any ideas on what i could do to help find/fix the problem?
Also, if anyones able to help with with the paint code of my car, i would greatly appreciate it, as i cant find it anywhere and would like to get a touch up pen for it.
Thanks, Dan.

Re: Issues with Fuel Guage
Could be the float on the fuel pump assembly ... if that's isn't moving properly it will send the wrong values to the gauge.

Re: Issues with Fuel Guage
Just pulled the seats out, and having a look around, someones already been in to look at it, so we've decided that as someones already had a look, and obviously not managed to fix the issue, that we'll try to get hold of another, second hand fuel tank system etc.
Would i be able to fit one from a regular 206, or does it need to be another cc?
Also, my car doesn't have the sticker on with the tyre pressures/paint code. Is there any other way i could find out how to find it? Its a kind of bright darker blue, almost like this color text

Re: Issues with Fuel Guage
I wouldn't like to say if hatchback and cc are same but my guess is they are. But you don't need the lot just the pickup and float unit under that big black plastic cover.
CCs would only come in a limited range of colours so you best best is ring a dealer and ask for a touchup pen at which point you can ask then for the colour code. Although there are often different versions of same. Our indigo blue hatch colour is available in four shades ... same code! We ended up matching it against paint charts when i needed to spray some parts.

Re: Issues with Fuel Guage
I still have a complete fuel tank including sender from the 05 plate CC that I broke.
Would need collecting from Nottingham but PM me if interested.
