Was the trip computer a standard accessory in a 2001 CC? The reason I'm asking is that I don't know if it has one and it's faulty somehow or if it just doesn't have one installed.
The wiper stalk seem to have a button on the tip but it's not moving (and no graphics is printed next to it). The same for the indicator stalk.
I split the wiper stalk housing and there's no ribbon cable or such in there, just the off, intervall, on slow and on fast connectors for the wipers. However the stalk could've been replaced by any of the previous owners.
The info screen at the top of the centre binnacle is larger than the one's I've seen on other 206 which just shows the date/time/temp. But that's only what mine's showing right now anyways, but I think it's supposed to show at least radio information since you can see RDS, PTY, TA etc very faint (not illuminated) if you look very close at the screen. But when scrolling through it shows radio out although it seem to be the original CD/radio and it's working (see my other post on this).

Same as my 2001 car.
I think they changed the 2001 model in March so it also depends on the month of manufacturer. The trip computer was on the redesigned cars. Do you have a black bumper or colour coded, that's generally how I distinguish between later models.

Do you have a black button in the actual speedo/rev counter face? There may have two ...
I think it's the right hand one that you press to cycle through the trip computer which is in the top of the main binnacle.
I'm trying to remember as we've got two pugs: the CC is my daughters so I don't get to use it much ... just fix it .. and the hatchback is the later model and has subtle difference on the electrics.
I think the more advanced digital unit in the centre of the dash is only available on the top end models like the GTIs and then the later multiplex models. I don't think the CC got them, but I haven't seen or sat in a post-2001 CC so I may be wrong. I know the one in my daughter's, which is also a 2001 model, only has a clock/temp/radio display in the centre. The stalks may look like they have buttons on the ends, but they aren't.

Made 2001-07. Has black bumpers and door trim.
One black button in speedo/rev and it cycles through total milage and trip milage on the main binnacle. What I'm looking for is to cycle the information on the center binnacle to show fuel consumption etc. Now it just shows date/time/temp.
It has the bigger type of screen in the center binnacle, I've seen the smaller type on some 206 hatchbacks.

Is there a pinuot available for the connector socket on the wiper stalk base?
Thers's more wires in the socket than used for the wiper control (uses four wires: gnd, intervall, slow, fast). I think there's at least 6-7 wires in the socket. Maybe I could piggiback one of the just to see what happens but I'd rather not short out the ECU when trying...

You'll find there are THREE binnacle models:
I'll have a look on 206info.co.uk ... there was a thread on there to show all three and the differences. Our CC is 2001-03 and as far as I can tell doesn't have any mpg, trip computer, etc.

Can you get to this?
http://www.206info.co.uk/Forums/viewtop ... art=0.html
I think you'll find it is only available on the multiplex cars ... a 2001 will be pre-mux. The two systems aren't interchangeable.
This might also be useful ... scroll down and your see the different MFD units although it doesn't say much about trip-computer, mpg, etc.

Re: Trip computer in 2001 CC
So I have a pre-mux I guess and it can't be made to show fuel consumtion etc. Then what's all the unused wiring in the wiper stalk for?
Could someone give me a pinout or a wiring diagram for the 12-pin socket that connects to the wiper stalk?
As you can see in the photo there's 8 wires connected and only four is used (GND, intervall, slow, fast). So what's the other three "unused" wires for?

Re: Trip computer in 2001 CC
I would expect a couple were for the screen washers ...
Don't forget, they usually make cars for the max spec and then just don't use half the wiring. So it there was anything else, eg rear wiper for hatch, rear wash, it will be in the wiring and stalks but not connected to anything. Saves them money in the long run as you only need one wiring loom for the range.
