Anti pollution fault

Post by cooljay4 »

hello guys,

Thanks for your help with the battery fault this is still working fine today...... Right were to start??

I let my fuel light go to orange (silly me) then i filled u with fuel from morrisions i always use this fuel i get miles points :).

anyway i was driving down the road and my car beeped at me ahhhhhh i nearly crashed my car into the bloody lamppost scared the life outta me anyway it came up with anti pollution fault butt the car does not really seem to be driving any different then before apart from losing a tiny bit of power.

soo yesterday after reading many many posts on here i decided to try them out turned car into ACC mode 10 min revved the crap out of it took it for a drive red lined it in 1st and second did a BSI reset as per the instructions on this site which are printed off in my car :)

none of these work also my cars engine management light has come on am sure this was not on at the start although it might have done i let my car run on idle seems a bit sluggish i think.

does anyone have any suggestions on what to do shall i keep running it?

the problem is this car has so many sensors and that i think cars just need to go back to being cars like they was in the olden days you know when you had to wind the engine up at the front :)

I will keep you all updated with progress as per usual.

My car

206 cc allure 1.6l
53 plate
mileage low for age will update later

Do you do a lot of local short journeys? If so a hard motorway blast will often clear this.
Also try running a tank of V-power or similar though it
If it is overdue for a service, then get it done.
If you are still having issues after that, then get the codes read and post them here.
Cheers Col.
