I did but I'm afraid it got snapped up. I thought £15 including the console and P&P was a bit low, but best to get rid than have loads of parts cluttering the place up.GrandadMonkey wrote:Good idea gazza82 about roof switch - could cause intermittent working. If so a new switch could do it - I wonder, does Enright have a spare switch available from the car he is breaking?

As you mention that you have your Mum's fully working 206 CC to compare, you could ask her nicely if you (or your Dad) could swap roof buttons, just to see if you can isolate the fault.G3N wrote:Got to be worth a try! Alternatively a cheap option might be to pop over to http://www.peugeotforums.com and have a look on the Planet Map to see if any local enthusiastic tinkerers can hook it up to their laptops.
If all that fails, and you still want the pump, you could collect it as I have Planet (and a whole bunch of other spares), which we could use to try to get it working. I'm also off work from tomorrow until 8th April.
Even taking into consideration a drive to Nottingham & back, it'll be a cheaper solution than a Peugeot labour bill!
Send me a PM if you want to get in contact.

Neil.

Re: Please help!! I have looked for same problem!
Unless the pump keeps stopping and starting to cause this, I don't think it's the switch.the boot starts going then stops and starts then when it gets to fully open it jumps bounces and jerks but the roof doesn't even try and go back then will just work
For the third and final time HAVE YOU CHECKED THE PRESSURE RELIEF VALVE IS NIPPED UP? Loss of pressure will give the above symptoms.
Cheers Col.

Re: Please help!! I have looked for same problem!
Very strange. We tried changing the pump itself, the ECU, the hydraulic cylinder that moves the parcel-shelf-like bit, the relays next to the pump - no change.
The roof would start to move, but then when the boot lid's front edge had raised about 6" it would sort of trip-out and stop. Putting some pressure on the boot lid as if resisting the movement seemed to help, but there was no obvious explanation why it kept tripping out. Apparently the previous owner spent £800 on having microswitches replaced within 6 months of selling it. Either they failed to track down the one that's causing the problem, or it was never a microswitch issue.
At least my finger's stopping bleeding now - still throbs though!

Re: Please help!! I have looked for same problem!
So I took it to Peugeot.... The faults coming up are as followed:
Permanent fault, time for left and right locked boot loss of contact
Permanent fault, boot position
Permanent fault, roof position
Permanent fault, rear parcel tray
Intermittent fault, right re window opening time exceeded
So I'm £53 worse off for a list! It's booked in for next Wednesday at the cost of £160 for them to do more investigation!

Re: Please help!! I have looked for same problem!
Those codes point to pump operation I would say, otherwise there are 5 micro switches not operating correctly (unlikely)
Is the battery good?
Can you let us know the outcome please

The pump has been changed
micro switches are the next thing to check the guy at Peugeot said the roof is confused as to what order and where things should be! So is stopping the operation, I will of course let you know the outcome!

Re: Please help!! I have looked for same problem!
Well today....we manage to get the roof working up and down absolutely fine apart from the parcel shelf would not come up at the end and the motor would keep sounding like it was trying but nothing! So we had progress but still a problem!!
We then closed it up to have a break and some dinner went back out and now nothing but beeping! The roof doesn't move at all
Just when I thought we had actually made some progress!!!

Re: Please help!! I have looked for same problem!
Fixed it!!!!!!! We found a little metal switch off a micro switch in the boot we found where it come from clipped it back in cable tie round it to keep it in place and hey presto it works!!!!!!!
The parcel shelf problem was due to when we changed the parcel shelf pistin the pipes where put on the wrong way swapped them and its done!!! Got a few pics I can put up later if anyone wants to see!
