beeping sound when i try to open my roof

Firstly Hi to all the members as im new on here , what a find. I recently purchased my wife a metallic green 206cc and she absolutely loves it as do my two young daughters. Its on a 53 plate and in very good condition with one owner and 38k on the clock. However in the past week the roof switch , when pulled only makes a beeping sound and no windows come down or roof movement. Also she hears the same beeping noise when she drives the vehicle which is very annoying and there is nothing worse than an annoyed wife when she gets home from work. The beeping noise stops when the cars stops.
Are the two things linked? Can anybody help or shed any light on this for me please ?

If u put all 4 windows down then try to open roof do u get any noises

It sounds silly but have you checked the slide out tray thingy in the boot?
Mine used to beep, but i stopped got out and unhooked it then put it back in place and the beep went away....
happened on my sisters too...... worth a try maybe?

It sounds like one of the sensors is playing up.

For the roof to go down, all the sensors tell the roof ecu that it is safe to do so.

i.e. the boot liner has been pulled back and is seated in its catches (sensor in left hand side).

The boot is shut properly. (sensor in boot latch).

hi new to site same prob with mine could be be the cold its been -9 wer im an its just warmin up abit now il try all sorts is there a reset button on the car for the roof it just bleeps at me wen i press the roof button only had the car 3 days lol hellllllllp thanks matty

I've got mine sorted today!!! I Adjusted the the boot lock as the boot needed a really hard SLAM to shut.Just INSIDE in the middle of the boot where the boot 'lid lock' fits into it it there are two star headed screws.Just loosen them,move part up or down to adjust (keep half tightening then check if boot shuts ok & check the roof too) If works ok then tighten up. Not saying it'll fix everyones proplem but it only takes a few minutes to check so worth a go!!!

I been looking at this post and other information on Internet. ...
Still can't get it to work. ..beep beep all the time
Can someone tell me how much would it cost to fix it

Have you followed the instructions in the Owners Manual? Did the roof work when you tried the car out before buying it?
