That link also shows you how to re-boot the BSI. Take note of the second posting on the thread.
Cheers Col.

ok so I have now phoned the auto electrician, he reckons he can fix it, ha well I am loosing all faith, after a day of going round in circles I am back at square one :-( well back to no side lights but on a brighter note the rest of my electrics is back to where it was this morning so that's something, the auto electrician has quoted me £30 an hour does that sound reasonable ?

£30 an hour is not to bad when you consider mr pug at £90+ i would go for it but you need to find where the ingress of water is coming from before the electrician fixes it which he might do.

thanks, I have no idea where the water is coming from I thought it was my door seal as I have noticed recently the floor is wet in the passenger side, but that would not explain why there was water in the fuse box :-/ yet another problem to solve, could it be the windscreen ? I am at a loss

water test the car with a hose while someone is inside the car checking, a good tip and this is free use talc powder as a dusting then any water runs will be more visable which might lead you back to the actual ingress point.
