As my car insurance is up for renewal soon I have begun the task of finding the best price!

Got an impressive quote from axamotor.co.uk which was £730ish! I almost fell off my chair when peugeot quoted £3k!!!

I got mine from http://www.tesco.com they beat all the others by about £100 plus. Quite a pleasant surprise. Maybe worth a try.

my quote from peugeot insurance was high too but i wouldn't rcommend them. when i bought my last car which was a 206 1.4LX in May 2000 i had a free years insurance with them.
to keep things short, my policy cert. was never accurate as they were just basically thick and couldn't record written instructions.
when i moved house i told them of a change of address and never got a reply. at the end when i requested proof of NCD, i put my own address on the letter yet they sent it to my previous address. luckily it was my parents address so i still got the letter but that was an example of how bad they were.
they are better to be avoided, i would even be tempted to refuse free insurance from them in the future.

I am 22 and had now form of no claims before.
I am with ASA insurance who let me take out insurance on my car for £1200 per year for 3 Years. This is guarenteed to stay at that amount no matter how many claims I have. At the end I will have 3 years no claims if everything goes well and if you consider that the quotes for insurance for 1 year was between £2500 and £7500 it's not too bad.
