206 T reg windscreen wipers. HELP!!

Post by Bobbyhethro123 »

Windscreen wipers Peugeot 206 T reg

All of a sudden our car has encountered a problem with the wiper the wiper on the driver side is not working at all but the one on the passenger side is.
If anyone could enlighten me on this it would be much appreciated.
Had so many solutions thrown at me but thought I would ask somebody in the know on the matter.

Thanks
Rob Hetho

Either the mechanism is broken, or more likely the nut on the spindle is loose

Thanks il look into that as soon as possible iv been getting told it could be a fuse or it could be the motor and all kinds of other more costly alternatives
Any tips on sorting this problem would be very helpful too
Thanks again

The motor drives both sides and if the passenger side works then the motor is working and the fuse is ok. As Capncol says, if one side is working but not the other, the problem is going to be with the linkage or the wiper arm coming loose on its spindle.

I'd check first whether the driver's side wiper arm is loose on the spindle. If it is then repair that. If it isn't then check the linkage between the two sides.
