fault code P0300

right have fitted the part hopefully to get rid of this troublesome problem, did the recordings and analised the findings from the ECU, and now going to test over the next 7 days to see if it has fixed the problem, so will keep you all posted as i'm not going to say much at the moment as to the theory of it all but if you would like to guess what the cause might be feel free to post.

P0300 indicates a random misfire ... P030 followed by a number would normally indicate which cylinder eg P0302 is cylinder 2. So the ECU can't work it out ...

So is this the cutting out issue when you hit 90C?

So you probably had a coil pack problem or the plugs were starting to fail ... or you had the wrong plugs ... apparently NGK plugs with certain coilpacks is a no go. I put Bosch Super 4's in the CC to replace the very, very old Peugeot branded plugs that were in there.

yep did all that a year ago when it first started renewed with new plugs, coil pack only comes up this time of year so i have dug a bit more deeper to find out what might cause this, i only get this code and no other and car has started 1st time everytime but after starting in the morning 1 min in and up pops this code so switch engine off restart and all ok. i think i've cracked it but doing some testing at the moment.
