I have also had a go at testing the moving rear shelf in place switch (C) , the moving rear shelf stored switch (D) and the retractable roof open switch (I)
Now I'm not sure if I have tested the right ones here so can someone steer me in the right direction

Image

Looking at the picture I tested the black and green switches nestled in the left hand corner and also the white switch located to their right .

The white switch on pressing the micro switch down showed continuity , now as for the black and green ones , I can't remember which but one showed continuity as soon as I connected the probes but I could not find the micro switch it was connected to , the other didn't but again I couldn't find the micro switches as the roof is up .
Can someone confirm that I have done things correctly
Thanks
Dave

I would test all all the microswitches first (except the ones in the roof pillars, they obviously work as you get the bong when the clips are released) so that's 9 of them to test. If that checks out OK, you may have a faulty roof ecu. Where are you, as I may have a spare one to test with?
Cheers Col.

When requesting help of a technical nature, please give as much detail of the fault as possible along with details of exact model, engine size & type, gearbox, year, mileage, and any relevant work carried out to try to solve the problem to help us help you.
Better still, put the details in your signature.

Cheers mate , that would would be amazing , I live in the midlands but work all round the UK , so no problems with bringing the car to you .
I have tested all 9 now I think , some of the others I tested are mentioned at the end of page 1 in this thread , so you may not have seen the previous posts I made , could you have a quick read through for me just to check I have done things correctly.

Thanks
Dave
