problem

Hello, i am just wondering if anyone knows of a problem like im having,
When i put it in 2nd gear it struggles to go in sometimes and the worst problem is it slows down when i put it in 2nd then judders like its in wrong gear when it does it when iv jus set off or when im doin about 10mph, also i hear a swishing sound of water sounds like i have a bottle of water at side of me, this doesnt happen all the time but really conserns me even though i took it to my local garage and they checked my gear box and said it was fine they couldnt find a problem, but its done it again should i take it to a peugeot specialist?

Hope it is something that simple, mine is a 1.4 lx, think i will take it to the specialist tomorrow hopefully he will know just hope it does it when i show him, thank u.

As far as the gearbox is concerned the first place I would start is by checking the linkage and by lubricating the ball and socket joints as they can dry out. New linkage rods can make a world of difference if the original ones are well worn.

How did you get on at the specialist?

Hi, didnt need to go i think there was dirt cloging something up after i reved it really hard i didnt hear the water sound anymore and for the gears im goin to get someone look at them soon could be the linkages think i just bought a bad condition car haha
