Hi All,
I have been asked by a colleague to sort out her rear seatbelt, as it is not fully retracting.
Whats the best way to get at it? I had a quick look, do I need to remove the seats to remove the plastics?
if so, how do you get the rear seats out/folded down?
Thanks alot for anyt help you can give!
Mickey

Re: O/S Rear Seatbelt
In that case, yes you have to get the rear seats out.
To do it:
There are 2 x 10mm nuts that need removing - they are just below the front edge of each rear passenger's seat cushion, in the middle of each.
Once they're out, you can pull out the entire lower rear cushion.
Then you have 2 more 10mm nuts that hold the lower middle of the back-rest in place.
Having removed those, the back-rests should simply lift up and out.
You need to unbolt the bottom seatbelt mounting point, which is a big 16mm bolt.
And there's a plastic clip with a push-in centre near the bottom of the driver's (or front seat passenger's) seatbelt mounting, which secures the lower part of the rear trim panel.
Having got those out of the way, you should be able to unclip the lower trim panel from the upper one and remove it, giving you access to the rear seatbelt reel behind it.
I found the plastic retaining clips to be pretty fragile - unless you are prepared to risk rattles after reassembly (or don't care about them), be prepared to have to replace a few.
