Roof
Hi all. Really hoping that someone can help me. I've just bought a 52 plate 206cc....the roof apparently was working electronically before I bought it but wouldn't open when I bought it. My hubby put the roof down manually and since then there is a persistent beeping whenever I pull away in the car. We've searched various posts but nothing we have tried is helping us any. The left hand side catch in the boot lid seems to jammed in the open position and the boot at this side is held together by the white u clip....the button inside the car to put the roof down automatically doesn't seem to work either, it doesn't make any noise whatsoever and when I release the hinges inside the car that holds the roof in place they don't make any noise either. I'm still waiting on the Haynes manual being delivered for the car (not sure how much use this will be) and I'm being driven slowly mad by this constant noise. There was no noise when we bought the car until he put the roof down and now the only way to switch the noise off is by unplugging the computer in the boot. I have no issue with putting the car into the garage if I know what I'm looking for them to fix. Other thing probably worth noting is the boot doesn't appear to sit flush when it closed, again particularly on the left hand side where the catch doesn't seem to be right. We've tried looking at all the sensors and can't find anything wrong??? Help!!?

Re: Roof
Have you followed the video on this forum for manually opening and closing roof?
I hope you unplugged the roof ecu with the battery disconnected or you may well have fried it.
Normally you will get an alarm chime if you try and operate the roof switch and the ecu sees a problem such as the blind not pulled across in the boot or the catches not released at the top of the windscreen (this is why I think you may have cooked the ecu) Your only other hope is that you have blown the fuse.

Re: Roof
The ecu is plugged back in again now :-) and working fully, irritating beep and all. When I press the roof switch it gives an alarm chime. Yes we followed the video on here when we put the roof down the first time and we have also checked the fuse under the steering wheel as was also on here...am totally puzzled as to what else it could be....
