Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Fault Help?!!!!

Post by darren5354 »

Hi all,

New to all this, so sorry for any mishaps!

Have a Peugeot 206cc 1.6 2003. Started getting a fault come up on the display "Anti-Polution Fault".
I have noticed that if I put the ignition on and/or let the car idle for a few minutes, the car goes into limp home mode. If this happens, what I do is stop and re-start the car and away I go with no problems.

I have had the car put on a computer and it states that there is a fault with the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS)? I have been told by the dealer that this has been replaced?

Should I just replace it again OR is there anything else that it could be? any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you in advance!,

Darren

Darren. 1st thing to do is clear the code and see if it re-appears. If it does, what is the code? It may just be that the new TPS isn't calibrated.
Cheers Col.
