stability of vehicle with the roof open

:( with the roof closed ride of car is pretty good,when open carjudders when going over the the slightest bump in the road,like the wheels are not balanced,although they have been,mechanic looked underneath and says all ok,any one come across this problem,thanks rob.

'Tis a tendancy to feel a bit loose with the roof down. The roof ties the whole body together.

Ours is stable enough when the roof is open. No roadholding or handling issues. Windows rattle though over bumpy roads.
Roof up it is perfectly quiet - no rattles.
