I just bought another 206cc

Post by Capncol »

Just bought an '06 allure in black/ black leather.
(Why the hell do I keep buying black cars ) :popping:

Like our friend Enright's it needs work.

Anyone want me to post progress reports or not?
Cheers Col.

Yes. New one for her. Its' had a scrape all down drivers side so needs new door, front and back wings and repairs to front and rear bumper corners.
It's done 39K miles.
Once it's done, her current moonstone blue '03 will be for sale (although daughter is hinting strongly, in which case there might be an Audi A3 se for sale instead)

I will post more details when I pick it up later this week.

I miss mine. Replacing it with a 308cc is turning out to have been a mistake, I'm seriously considering going back to a 206cc (the 207cc hasn't the same character IMO) and another more practical family car.

OK, So I picked it up today. Once home, I tried to start it but battery was too flat. Anyway, charged it, got it started and it runs quite sweetly.
Aircon is ice cold.

That certainly shows some potential. In response to the progress reports question: yes please!

Didn't I see that one on Copart? I certainly remember one like it, but bodies scare me! I much prefer oily bits (or even carbony ones at a pinch) to replace. There's no subjectiveness involved - they're either right or they don't work! :D

BTW if you can find a normal 206 electric mirror, I believe the only CC unique bit is the triangular part at the corner of the window, which looks to have survived. All you need is a set of torx bits to change over what you need. That should save you a few beer tokens.
Talking of which - to repeat your earlier quetion to me: are we allowed to ask...? ;)

Neil. ;)

Yep. Was on Copart. I paid £750. Rear wing is £144, already have a door shell kicking about. Just need front wing and plastic liner, paint and materials.

Actually apart from the scrape, it's very tidy.
Won't have a chance to do anything much with it for a week or two, but will post here when I do.

That is a stunning price - well done!
I wouldn't be too worried by the wing, or even the door, but that rear panel would really bother me. I know that I would have to rely on professionals to sort that out for me, and I know that it would cost serious money to get a good finish. Still, if you can do it, then you're set up with a spanking little motor.

Today had a bit of free time and took off front wing, straightend bracketry and bought a door for £40 in correct colour.

Getting there!
