Hi all, first time user here so am hoping to find some sense!!
I have a 54 plate cc alure. Today, my kids were in the back of the car & as one of them moved the seat forward (using the underside bar) the seat released forward like it should do. When i went to put it back to the usual further back position after they had got out of the car - there seems to be no tension in the bar itself - i can lift it up & down but it doesnt seem to release the catch.
I can still love it forward by using the seat collapse & pushing it that way - but cant seem to use the car.
any ideas - is it serious?

Re: Passenger Seat Problems
Ours has stuck before but a bit of jiggling of the levers has always sorted it out on our 206cc.
However, complete failure of the mechanism is not unknown - indeed it is quite common. I think the answer is new seat runners, see:

Re: Passenger Seat Problems
Can anyone help me with this problem....
I've discovered that the cross peice has actually snapped on the welds - so that explains why there's no tension with the bar.
So the problem i now have is.... i am unable to release the seat so that i can undo the bolts to take the seat out as it's stuck in the forward position. I've tried using mole grips with no joy.
Any ideas?
