can sometimes be cheaper sourcing parts ya self

MOT prices vary anything from £35-£50 depending on area

For 2.0 looking at the following (prices from euro car parts)

Eicher Brake Disc (Front) £17.10 x 2 £34.20
Eicher Brake Disc (Rear) £11.16 x 2 £22.38

Eicher Brake Pads (Front) £17.94
Eicher Brake Pads (Rear) £11.28

RTX Alternator £123.54

Then you can do it all again in 6 months.........(RTX from europarts??)
Gave up using euro car parts. Too many warranty claims.
I found their brake pads the worst I have used for squeeking, poor fit etc:
I fitted an RTX starter to a Renault van......then again 2months later, then another 6 weeks after. Then I got a different make- No problems since.

Buy cheap, you buy twice.
Cheers Col.

That's main stealers for you!!
I'm looking at doing my front discs/pads soon and I can get a set of Mintex discs/pads for £50(ish) and then fit them myself
For a laugh I rang Kwik Fit and Robins & Day (Pug dealers in Lincoln) for prices
Kwik Fit wanted £150-£165 all in :?
Robins & Day wanted £260 all in :o
My friend who has his own garage and I've known him since we were kids would do them for £75 all in!!
Probably worth £25 to avoid having to scrabble around on the floor and getting mucky
