Hey all,
Ive been looking around after an Airbag fault appeared on my 53 plate 206CC, ive read that its either the Battery is broke or there are loose connections under the seat.
How do i know which one it is, i mean the engine sort of takes time to start like takes time to turn over its not instant it takes like 5 seconds.
Also i didnt want to just start playing with cables etc as airbags are dangerous and if it goes off thats a new dash needed! So if i unplug the clips under the seat will that be ok or is it going to set of the airbag??
Any other suggestions what it could be
Thanks Alot
Dave

Re: Airbag problem
Hello Dave and welcome to the forum.
I have moved this to the problems forum so that you get the right responses.
You have a BSI equipped car, so could easily be a battery fault. How old is battery? Any other probs / warning lights?
The plugs under seat referred to are for seatbelt pretensioner. it wont hurt to disconnect plugs and clean them and check wiring for breaks. It won't set airbag off.
Search on here for BSI reset. That may clear fault too.
Good luck
