Apologies for posting this in the wrong section initially hopefully I have now got it in the correct place. Admin please feel free to remove from "Rejections section"
I am currently suffering with a terrible creaking coming from top r/h corner of the roof I have had a search through the forum and it seems that other people have had the same problem. Is it definitley the rubber seal that makes the creaking noise? I have tried spraying it with a silicone spray but that seems to have made no difference, so is DC40 the answer as has been mentioned on the forum previously or has anyone else come up with a different and definitive answer. Please help it is driving me potty, this is my 2nd 206cc and I did not have this problem with the previous one.
p.s. it's nice to be back on the forum after a few years

Re: Creaking roof
Hi there
Are you sure it's the rubber seal?
The only reason I ask is that when I bought mine I had the same problem. It was really loud but through process of elimination
I found the creaking was coming from the catch for the roof. I unclipped it and gave it a good spray of WD40 and....ta dah....have been creak free ever since.
Hope this helps

Re: Creaking roof
Hi,
Yes first thing I tried was giving the catch a good spray of WD but that seems to have made no difference
so I am still looking for a solution.

I thought I read a post where someone suggested that the door may need realigning?? I may have dreamt it
Have you thought about this as a solution?

Re: Creaking roof
I prefer silicone grease rather than spray. Seems a bit more durable and available from good electronics stores http://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/precison- ... s/0494124/
