That's a weird one!!
Have you checked all the fuses in both fuse boxes?
Having had a quick look at the wiring diagram, fuse F23 seems to be common to most of the things you have listed.
It sounds as if they are being "back fed" via the ign switch when it is on. I will have a ponder, and if you haven't got anywhere with it, come back here and I will dig a bit deeper. OK?

Oh, and welcome to the forum

thanks col
it seems that there is no permenant live i had someone look at it and they said that
the fuse box did not seem to have been messed about with and now someone has told me
about a shunt fuse?? what ever that is,

we have only had the car 2 weeks and its just come out of the garage for gearbox & driveshaft work (£750)
so i thought i might be able to find a solution from the forum to save some cash,
any help from you would be great.

Regards
Darren

When you say "it seems that there is no permenant live" are you talking both fuseboxes?
The passenger fusebox is permanently powered by the engine fusebox MF8 I think, and the ignition switched power to the passenger fusebox is controlled by MF12. I suspect MF8 may have blown, which is why I suggested you check ALL the fuses. The main engine compartment fusebox is linked directly to the battery, so that should have power all the time.
You need to make sure the fuses are OK 1st.

Hi col
all the fuses are fine a couple were changed and still the same problem,

a live was put down the feed but the ignition lights came on too.

I asked the last owner and he said that he jump started it just before i bought it as it stood for 3 months,
we have since tried the BSI reset 3 times but no joy

Is there anything else that you could suggest to look at

Many Thanks Darren

Please take the time to read ,there is a lesson to learn that works with ALL car problems
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well i decided to put my car into a garage and i pick it up 2 days ago after weeks in the garage still not fixed,
I was getting pretty frustrated with the whole thing and my son said " Dad lets see if we can work it out"
so we spent an hour looking at a great wiring diagram i found online http://www.scribd.com/Ulrich_Ludel_8665/d/24640552-206 ready to look at the car the next morning, as the garage spent a lot of time on the car ,we spent about an hour looking for some sort of major problem when we looked at each other and said " lets go back to basics"
we started with the fusebox checking each fuse from no 1 with fuse type in the handbook,
We only got to fuse 5 and found an issue. The fuse had been placed in line with the others but looked like it should be 1 peg lower as there was a metal contact available below the fuse so of to the scrappy to check out other fuse boxes.
When we were there we noticed that most of the 206's did have the fuse placed not in a line like mine but off set like i said and it did not have a standard fuse but a green & grey SHUNT fuse so we took some fuses home.
Took out the 10amp fuse no5 and placed Shunt fuse in 1 peg lower ,,,,,,Ping i heard a noise the courtesy light, hazzards, memory's & central locking all worked, went to put the roof down that was working fine before ,,,, beep beep here we go again,,,stupid french cars bad electrics ,,,, just about to implode when i thought BACK TO BASICS opened the boot to find the boot cover not pulled out, pulled it out sorted.
Now armed with some get up and go (that over 12 weeks of having this car had dissapeared )
i then looked at the heater blower fuse as it kept blowing on position 4 which was a 15amp fuse but according to the manual should be a 20 - 40 amp fuse so replaced with a 30 amp and is now fine,
so next thing was to reset the central locking follow procedure 2 minutes done,
then i looked at the clock which sometine worked ad sometimed did not,
took off the cover took out the 2 screw and the multiplug,
the multi plug has 6 sections but only 4 are used, you can unclip fastners on the top and bottom of the plug to give you access to 3 of the wires then the 1 below which you can take each wire out seperatly by pushing a pin(from the wifes sewing box) on each of the metal clips and easing each wire out 1 at a time (so you cant mix them up)they have a square socket type pin with a hole in the middle that the clock pins go into so i simply closed them very slightly (with the pin)as if they are too tight will not go back on,Sorted,
Everything is sorted what i would like to say is DO NOT OVER LOOK ANYTHING & DO NOT LISTEN TO EVERYONE if you own a 206cc it is a used car and at some point someone has looked at or repaired your car who may have been a numpty EVEN GARAGES ARE ONLY HUMAN.
DONT TAKE ANYTHING FOR GRANTED I HAVE AGED YEARS IN THE LAST WEEK BUT I DID LEARN A HUGE LESSON
The only issue i am left with is the radio display blew in the poking and prodding stage and if i had started from basics all faults would have been rectified in no more than an hour with NO cost and no new radio needed

Glad you sorted it, and thanks for coming back and letting us know how you got to the bottom of it.
(ps I did say check fuses in my 1st answer to you. Many faults are simply a blown fuse or wrong ampage)

Just in time to enjoy the summer
Cheers Col.
