Roof, windows and mirror problem

Post by kenwilcox »

Hi, I'm new to this but thought this info would be useful to others. I was driving my cc when the drivers side window went down of it's own accord. Went to Peugeot specialist who fitted a new window switch for £160!!!!!!!!. The windows were working ok so I left it for a few days before trying out the roof. Released the catches, the "bong" sounded, pulled the switch up but nothing happened. I tested the mirrors but they weren't working either. Did a manual reset of the roof but could only lock the lid using the "u" clips. Roof still didn't work. Went back to garage, asked them to look at fuses, "it won't be that" they said. Lo and behold fuse No. 10 (30amp) had blown. replaced fuse, roof, mirrors and windows all worked. Tried old switch and that was ok as well. So before anyone parts with their hard earned cash, CHECK THE FUSES. Sorry about the long drawn out story but I hope it helps.

I hope they refunded your £160. If not, why not?
