only problem is, yeh, i got the dreaded leak from the seal above the drivers door. where do i put the sealent I been reading about do i fill the channel of the seal :
It's not a sealant as such, it's a lubricant spray that you apply to the rubber seals, this makes them more supple and therefore helps seal together better and prevent leaks. This is the one I have Click here
However, if you can see a gap between your seals, lubricant spray may not be the solution and it may mean a trip to the dealer for the rubber seal to be checked.

Life's too short to drive around with your top on!
We've had a very small gap between the seals above the drivers door, just where the two ends of the seals meet. That caused a slight drip into the car when it rained. I used clear silicon grease to rub into the seals and also to fill the gap, and that has cured the problem. It has been about a year since I did it and there have been no more drips so it has worked for us. I suspect that it will need doing again one day.
I bought a tub of clear silicon grease from our local plumbers merchants. It wasn't cheap but it serves lots of other purposes too. Lubricates taps in the home if they start to seize up, and I used it on the caliper slider pins in my daughter's Nissan Primera brake calipers when I renewed her brake pads and rear brake discs the other day.
