EPS/ABS brake pressure switch for Peugeot 2006 206cc
The APS brake light came on the dashboard so took the car to my local, trustworthy garage. At first they thought it was just the switch needed changing, but having spoken to Peugeot, they've been told that the whole unit needs changing at a cost of about £700. My local garage thinks that this is a known problem with that model in which case I will discuss the matter with Peugeot. Has anyone else heard of this problem please? Many thanks. Chris

I've not heard of it being a common problem but I do know that the Peugeot service schedule requires the brake fluid to be changed every two years. I believe this is to avoid corrosion occurring in the ABS and causing the need for such expensive repairs.
We have our brake fluid replaced every 2 years without fail. I suspect that many owners overlook this requirement.
