Roof problem pillar micro switch

Post by vic997 »

Hi thanks to using this site I have located problem with my 206cc roof problem to micro switch drivers side, the windows became inoperative when roof was put up.I am having problems adjusting the micro switch, managed to get a small screwdiver into try and push switch lever forward seems to have worked.but cannot see how to get switch out to adjust or replace.Anyone tell me how also can you replace switch or do you have to buy complete roof part incuding clamp part number 9641108877. I was thinhking of getting Haynes manual but does 206 manual cover the 206cc roof or is manual for 206CC.

Haynes manual 4613 for the Peugeot 206 does cover the 206cc but as far as the roof is concerned I do not feel it is THAT comprehensive. There are photos but I feel the assembly instructions could be better. I bought the Haynes manual myself but would not feel confident to rely on it for carrying out work on the microswitches.

Fortunately we've never had a problem to date with our roof but others have and consequently there are some helpful threads on this forum if you use the search facility.

If you do want a Haynes manual I bought mine off eBay from motoringbooksofbookham. They were cheaper than most other sources and provide an excellent service. I have used them for Haynes manuals for other cars too. Less than £15.
