Need help (yet again ) !!
Hi been a member for a while and got some really good advise since being on here , was going to sell the car afew months ago and decided against it and now its playing up again .. its got a really horrible sounding creaking and clunking sound coming from the front end and its really getting on my nerves and getting my goat up .. can happen when its pulling off , turning and stopping and sounds like the car is literally going to fall about ... if anyones had this problem before or if anyone else knows what it could be i'd really appreciate the help .. Thanks

I would start at the droplinks, check the joints to see if there worn. Then the wishbones and then last resort the topmounts. I had the same problem, I started with the easy/cheaper bits first.

Re: Need help (yet again ) !!
Worn wheel bearings usually make a whirring noise rather than a clunking. If the nearside bearing is worn then noise increases on right hand bends, and vice versa.
Has the mechanic looked at the car? Or driven it?
