Hi
Can anybody let me know what DTC fault 0420 Catalyst efficiency below threshhold (Bank 1) means? The car is a 1.6 206cc of 2001 vintage and has had a new O2 sensor and new cat converter, this light keeps coming on intermittently and is driving me insane! it will stay off for weeks at a time then come on,I cancel it and its ok for maybe a day then on it comes again, So I cancel it and its ok for a few weeks. The performance of the car does nor suffer in any way when the light is on.Any info would be gratefully accepted.

check for vacuum leaks, first ,if that is not the problem check cat ,,,,check emission
