206 engine swop ?

hi guys i have a 2001 206cc 2.0 16v manual not sure of engine code yet and it has seized the engine

i have been offered a engine from a 306 2.0 16v new engine code is N S / J4R 8 D97 any one know if i will face any problems fitting this engine ?

No idea on engine code but it uses the 206 138bhp gti engine

the 206 cc had a rfn 2.0 16v
and the 306 iirc was a rfk?
does it have a silver style cover on the top of your engine with x3 black plastic screws holding it down?

I had a 306 cc before my 206 cc and the engines are different.

I dont know if they are interchangable.

yeh it has a silver plastic cover over the rockercover

whare do i find the engine code on my engine ?

it will be in your chassis number will prob be 2.0 rfn which the engine type is ew10 and the other engine will be a ew7

yeh the first picture is the one i have

this is the engine i can get locally

its a 2.0 16v has a different engine code

i dont mind swopping all manifolds etc from engine to engine im just not sure if that is poss are the block and head the same

i dont want to swop wiring harness etc though

me again i have found a 206 gti 2.0 engine code rfn how do i know if its a 138 or 180 bhp model engine ?

if it is a 180 bhp what is the difference would it run with my ecu etc ?

Would be a nice engine to get
Would prob need ecu from it too as well as suspension or updated and better brakes ect
Bo point having the power but not being able to stop very well
