What to look for when buyin a 206cc

Hello all,

My other half is lookin into buyin a 206 cc and i was wondering if people could help me out with what to look out for.
Like are the roof mechanisms trouble some, or seals. Also any engine problems because after all it is French.

Also I have a saxo vts trackcar and do all the work on it myself so what are the deal with the engines? is the 1.6 the same as a VTS or 106 GTI engine (DOHC), also are all the main parts such as brakes electrics and sensors similar? I no of many problems that peugeot and citroens have from sensors (MAF, LAMBDA etc) and electrics so does the 206 cc suffer the same?

You just need to check electrics
Roof windows ect
What engine is she after ???
Leaks dampness inside ect
Airbag lights

Doubt the 1.6 is the same as the saxo vts coz i bought my gf the 2.0 se and i think its quite slow , thats probably coz of the weight of the roof or maybe because i drive a golf r32 lol . I've drove the 1.6 cc before when i re-painted one and that felt like there was no pulling power at all . Just check the roof works and doesnt leak and that its not out of allignment , and all the electrics plus the locking coz i've noticed that some people have has issues with there locking on here , theres alot of decent people on here who will give you really good advice (better than i can give anyways) the guy who wrote above thois has helped me out twice in like 2 weeks lol

The 2.0 is the 138 gti engine
So the 1.6 won't be the vts engine might be the vtr one
