roof parcel shelf

hi got my wife a 51 plate 1,6 cc low mileage mint condition full history.BUT the roof was only openong half way and i realised the parcel shelf was not moving into position had a play with what i think is a microswitch sittuated under and to the left of the shelf also removed cover to check connection at the back of the carpet section. after this the roof has worked 5 times in a row so it may have been a loose connection or a fluke. if anyone can explain more on this i would be grateful and if this helps anyone thats great i was starting to lose sleep over this lol now at least i no its a switch or some sort on connection priblem,
