Got my Peugeot 206 cc for Christmas

Post by sunnydelight32 »

So far ive only sat in it but loving it already! Came across this site and thought i'd join up and get any tips or advice if i need it. So just saying hello to start.

Do seem to have a problem with the driver door though! When i get out and close the door it doesnt line up and theres a gap! Having to go in the passenger end and open and close the window to seal the gap!?!

Thinking something somewhere needs re-aligned?

Hello there. Welcome to the forum. Enjoy your Christmas present.

Make sure you read your owners manual thoroughly first. Most problems are self-inflicted by new owners.

The manual i have seems to be in French! Is it possible to get a copy of a manual in English online?

Thanks for the tips :)

Re: the window alignment problem. If you bought it from a garage I would take it back and ask for them to make the necessary adjustments, otherwise as this post states, you may be able to raise the window by removing the door card.

Thanks for the help, i will get that downloaded and have a read before i let myself loose on my new car! Cant get my insurance sorted until wednesday.

I got the car from a garage quite a distance away so i might just take it to my local garage first and see what they say about the door and window and if its going to be pricey to fix i will just go back to the original garage.

Thanks for the help and i will get some pictures up as soo as i know how to do it too! New to cc's and new to forums :)

Thar whats the door card??

Kelly :)

The door card is the panel covering the inside of the door.

Hey, went to my local garage to see about my door and window not lining up right?

My mechanic says that when you open the doors the windows should automaticly go down slightly and then when doors are closed they should automaticly go back up??

Is this right before i go to my original garage miles away to get them to repair it?

Update on my door and window.

Phoned my local Peugeot garage and they said they have been having problems with windows during the freezing weather conditions. There is a machine that they can put it on that checks if everything is ok. It costs £60 plus vat and if its a quick job they do it there and then with no extra charge! Thought that sounded fair!

Contacted the garage that i got the car originally and they have said go ahead and send them the invoice when the work has been done and they will reimburse me! Ideal :) so i can safely say that the guys in that garage are very helpful and genuine! which can be hard to come by!

Waiting on Peugeot ringing me back to get me booked in :)

Keep you posted :)

Just to udate on my door and window

Everything is fixed and all in working order. Havent had any problems with it so so far so good. The garage i originally got my car covered the full cost of me getting everything fixed at my local Peugeot garage to save me the trip. If anyone is looking for a garage that couldnt have been more helpful then East Cost garage in Musselburgh, they have been great! The mechanic even told me i could ring him and check i wasnt being ripped off with anyone if i needed anything else fixed with my wee cc.

Ive now started noticing people with the same car and its funny to see that we all check each other out!

Anyway i will be continuing to use this site to keep me posted on anything else i might need help with. Thanks again for all the tips :)

Hi there I know you have got your window/door problem fixed, however I have recently bought a 206 cc and it also has this problem, do you know at all what the garage you took it to did?
Thanks
