All,

anyone know what the price of an Eagle F1 tyre is? I have the 16 inch alloys on 2.0 SE.

Cheers,

Marco

You will find places try and charge you all sorts of prices for the tyres. Peugeot were quoting £130ish for each tyre which is ridiculous.
I have replaced the front two tyres on my CC at a cost of £130ish which included the tyres, fitting, balancing and VAT. It is a local company (Berkshire) but I hear places may price match in your area.

I would say - shop around!!!

If you've got a Halfords with a garage/service bit, try them. They've been bought out by the AA and were the cheapest by £50 for me, no kiddin'. £86.90 fully balanced etc. And he put the weights on the inside so as not to spoil the look from the outside. And he had rubbery bits on his machine so it didn't scratch my alloy and it was PERFECT. Cooooool.

There's one in Bracknell if that helps! Pauline

£80 all in at my local Kwik-fit and hopefully less if you buy more than 1.

They dont scratch them either

Oooh, how apt, a thread on tyre prices !

I got my first puncture in the CC today, just about to overtake, when BANG!, something that was lodged in the tyre decided to DISlodge and hit the inside wheel arch - tyre deflating rapidly. All I have to say is - thank goodness for Rob selling me a replacement alloy/tyre earlier in the year, this replaced a slightly damaged alloy, which then became my spare. This 'spare' is now on my rear nearside - after much huffing, puffing and to the amusement of many hundreds of motorists who passed that 'poncy silver pug with its roof down' on the A605 whilst I waited for my better half to deliver the spare ! I wanted to change it IN CASE it was salvageable - It ain't, so the new search for a replacement tyre is on. I got one Eagle F1 fitted etc. for around £85 earlier in the year from the Pug dealer, trouble is noone holds them in stock so it'll be a couple of days before I get a new 'un.

I also had a puncture incident last month - my own fault I clipped a kerb. Initially I was worried about the alloys, then to my horror I heard a hiss! Once I stopped crying I went to Peugot express in Plymouth and they only charged me £94 for a new tyre and wheel alignment. Not too bad considering the other prices on here!

Speaking of tires, i am after a tire case so i can chuck a spare in the back without making a mess. Similar to the ones on a back of a jeep. Any ideas?

I vaguely remember someone having their own custom made leather case that looked quite special....
