Hi guys
1st time i've gone on a forum need some advice i passed my test a year ago (at 28 can you believe it)
im a about to purchase a 206cc 2.0 from a dealer in southend on sea car is up for £3000 its a Y registration black and red leather 80,000 miles, although it has the Mot's the dealer doesnt have the service book or paper work apart from a couple of invoices and new exhaust, he has assured me the car is road worthy and has offered 1 year Mot.I will be using this car to take my daughter to school.
P.s it has the log book and HPI report which seems ok.
Any advice
Thanks Hayley x

I bought my 206 cc 2 litre in january, nearly exactly same situation as yours although mine was 4k. Ive had a few problems with mine but just general bits and bobs to be honest, got to remember the car is 9 years old. I also have a daughter whose 6 and she is very safe in mine

H Hayley, welcome to the forum.
Cambelt renewal will be due if not done already. Check with the previous owner if no service record. It'll cost a few hundred pounds to get done.
Check everything works perfectly before you buy. Check that it starts and runs perfectly from stone cold. Check the roof works perfectly. Hope there is an owner's handbook with it as many problems are caused by new owner ignorance.
Good luck, Ron
