Hi all, newb to cc's

Hi all!
I have a nice 52 plate 1.6i coming on Monday,
HOWEVER I have scared myself stupid about
roof issues!!!! Are they really this bad?

Any help for my sleepness nights would be of help!

Hi redstar and welcome to the forum!

Roof issues...what roof issues... Seriously, I presume you have tested the roof on the car you are buying and providing the roof operates without a fault, I wouldn't worry. As long as you only lower the roof when the engine is running and don't interupt the process in any way e.g. switching off the ignition, opening/closing windows or doors e.t.c everything should be fine.

Dont seem to recall the bong noise when operating the roof tho......

I guess the bong noise you don't recall is the chime when opening and closing the roof. Mine does that too so you've got nothing to worry about redstar.

mine is a 51 reg...dnt worry as long as you have checked it over and its fine das kool...frt mine wud ave issue as its soo old but it wasnt used alot and has a v low mileage. lol n if there were any roof problems i would have notice with all the rain etc
