the abs warning light is now staying on
i have done a few searches and it seems it could be a poor connection on one or more sensors possibly on the rears
is it possible that worn brake pads could cause this
has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the solution
last of all when you change the pads is there anything special that needs to be done or is it just straight forward job
thanks p

Re: abs warning light
hello again penel if the light is staying on i would get your pads checked (is there any grinding when brakeing) changing pads can be fiddly and if you have not done it before you may have more bits left than when you started with
if pads are ok and light still comes on a garage could probably sort it. sometimes they can plug into an diagnostic machine and do what i believe is similar to a computer re-boot.(redkev)

Re: abs warning light
i had a look at the pads and it looks like around 5mm left on the rears but i cant see the fronts and there is a lip of about 1-2 mm on the edge of the discs
think i can handle changing the pads its just if there is a procedure for returning the pistons into the calipers without blowing any seals
thanks for the reply
