Roof Up/Down button only beeps

Hi everybody, first of all I'd like to say "Hello" to all this comunity users, in Spain we haven't anything similar.

I'm from Barcelona so, sorry if you find some mistakes in my posts.

My green 206cc from the '03 has always worked perfect until this summer, when I tried to open de roof, the car said "Beep Beep Beep".

I've never had problems with it, so I don't know what can it be.

Some weeks ago I took some loose ideas from this forum, but I couldn't repair anything.

You talk about 2 white clips but I can only access the right one in my boot lid, the left one is covered and I can't take out the black carton layer that is covering it.

With an Allen Key, I screwed out the right hook, and twisted it round a bit. Then I turned on the engine and tried again to take up the roof, but it Beeped again!

Any advices? How can I access the left white hook? I supose we are talking about the same white hooks, but I prefer to confirm it with that pic I took from my car. Is the red circled hook in the picture, the one which I should move? How can I do the same with the left one?

Thanks everybody, here in Barcelona Peugeot Roof Repairing is more expensive than travelling to Jamaica for a week, hehe

Welcome to the forum. The first item I'd have gone to check would have been the boot pull-out screen microswitch.

I've tried to understand what you told me but my english and google translator are not helping me.

Could you please tell me in which exactly minute is this shown in the video: pug-vid-04.avi, or maybe in which part of the car can I find it.

For your information:

The windows work correctly but when I tried to put down the roof, they down do any movement, the process doesn't even start.

Ok, I think that reading it again I've undesrtood you.

You are telling me to check the little microswitch that remains pressed in the left (also little) hook when you covers the luggage in boot with the screen ; the one that if is not pressed cancels the process.

It works, it's pressed down when the screen is covering the boot, I also used little peace of peaper to be sure that it keeps pressed down when I tried to put up the roof.

Which is the next step?
