HI
i have 2005 206 cc....
The roof decided to stop mid way through opening the other day... the roof was in the boot but the lid stop mid way shut.
I took it to my local garage who manually shut the roof but i was left with a constant beeping... it went back and the beeping has stopped but apparently the roof is now 'jamming' so if i attempt to put it down it will get stuck again.
They have said the whole roof/boot needs to come off so they can see what its jamming on and im looking at a bill of £500+
Just want opinions on if this is needed and if anyone has had a simular problem??
I have never had a problem with the roof before and it has never jammed before... Im not convinced this is the problem but as im not a mechanic i have no idea..
I really dont fancy a summer not being able to use my roof!!:(

I hope the garage you are using is a Peugeot specialist. Even my local independent Peugeot specialist takes roof problems to the main dealer. I wouldn't let anyone else touch my roof. They'd probably do more harm than good.

HOW DO I START A NEW THREAD!!!!!
to hear back from anyone! may not using this site properly!!
Hi Everyone...
This is my first email and i need to know if there is anyone out there can advise, me. I had my first 206 CC in 2004 and to make a long story short it had to be sold on as i had so much trouble the various problems. I dutifully bought a second one, this time an automatic in 2006, all was going well when the car was recalled due to a gear box fault... didn't bother me in the least, it went in, i got a hire car, it came out and didn't bat an eye lid. Until!!!
Late last year i was getting funny messages, at first as the car seemed to be fine i didn't take much notice, think the first message was something like.... xxxxx economic fault..........then I started getting the 'Automatic Gear fault' car seemed fine, but then it started to jolt while cruisng at about 80kph, like the gears were not engaging or dropping. Early this year i contacted my peugoet dealer and they said i would need to get various stuff done asap or it could get serios, i got the work done to the tune of 1000 euro...... I'm not at all happy, one cos of the cost and two l learnt that when they recalled the car, they actually replaced the whole gear box. i asked them if this problem was a direct link with what had to be done this year and well in short they skirted round the subject.
Has anyone been experiencing any similar faults. I asked why it was happening and they told me I was unlucky!!
Hello like..... Would love to hear from other 206 CC owners. I want to lodge a complaint but I need to do my home work first. Was very surprised to find this site.... pleasantly i might add.... Wanie
