Found previous owner on facebook ?

Would I be sectioned for sending the previous owner of my 206cc a message via facebook (as i bought the car via a 2nd hand car sales) to let them know how she is doing and where she now lives?:beer: Image

You might be. They'd probably think you're a potential stalker.

They may have sold it into the trade so that there would be no come-back with any faults.

I don't think I'd do it.

A good few years ago I was checking out a Toyota Corolla at a local garage. I was suspicious that there were problems that the garage was trying to hide, so I got the previous owner details from the service record that was in the glove box. I contacted the previous owner explaining that I wondered if they would be prepared to tell me of any known faults with the car but they were very wary and didn't give much away.

Did you just find the previous owners name and look it up on FB?

Yeah got the VC5 or whatever it is and did a name then location search on FB - I did message her, she replied twas all good :wave:
Wasnt after any history/faults with car, just more of a hello and car gone to good home kind of message as I have often wondered where my past cars have gone and what there upto :Yes::scratch:
