Hi All
I'm new to the forum and have an issue with my 206cc. I keep getting the warning alarm to say that my boot is open, but it's not. I'm guessing there is an issue with the sensor.
Has anyone had this happen before? Where is the sensor and how costly is it to get fixed? Or could I do it myself?
Thanks
Katie

If you look at the boot catch (lower part). there are 2 small microswitches side by side. These have metal levers that sit above the switches. and these are pressed down onto the switches by the striker when the boot is closed.
I had a similar problem on mine. I unplugged the catch from the wiring loom, took the catch off (3 torx screws). undid the spring so I could move the striker away enough to access the switches and found that the metal levers had become dislodged and so were not pressing the switches when the boot was closed.
I was an easy job placing the metal levers back into their correct fitting and then re arming the spring.
This might be the problem so its worth having a look. You will see what I mean about the metal levers. If you look inside the boot catch near the bottom (where the wires enter), you will see them and the switches. The metal levers should be lying side to side flat above the switches. If they are bent/angled/crossed over thats youre problem.
