Hi,

My mfd screen shows some squares and not others...any ideas whether this will be bulb, a connection or a new screen situation?
Would be a great help...also if it's a new screen I need, any ideas where I can get one and how much!?!

Thanks :)

I cant help with what it is, I have the same with mine, but just bought the car, I have seen them on ebay at £59.99 from one seller. BUt you have to make sure the part number on the one your buying is the same as the one on the back of your display so I'm told.

I have read on this forum through the search facility people picking secondhand displays from scrap yards for £20, but I'm not sure how easy they are to come by :)

If its a bulb problem, You would still be able to see most of the display but it will be dimmed. It sounds like some of the characters are missing which would indicate its the display circuit board.

YOu could try changing the bulbs around to see if it illuminates the missing areas but if that doesnt work, you need a new display.

I got a secondhand one for £20 from a breakers yard. They are fittted to non convertible 206's as well so you should be able to find one somewhere.
